Target Audience and Goal Statement

This activity is intended for hematologists, hematologists/oncologists, primary care physicians, emergency medicine physicians, and other members of the multidisciplinary team.


The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to comprehensively care for patients with an autoimmune hemolytic anemia as part of the multidisciplinary team.

Upon completion of this activity, participants will:


  • Demonstrate improved performance associated with
  • Ordering appropriate diagnostic tests to adequately assess patients with autoimmune hemolytic anemia
  • Referring patients with autoimmune hemolytic anemia to relevant multidisciplinary team members
  • Individualizing treatment selection for patients with autoimmune hemolytic anemia
  • Educating patients receiving therapy for autoimmune hemolytic anemia on potential treatment-related adverse events
